- Who will deliver services for tenants?
LMH, as the landlord, is responsible for delivering services. Three housing specialists (PLUS Housing, Liverpool Housing Trust and Pinnacle psg) have been appointed to act as contractors for LMH. They will work in partnership with us to deliver services and the improvement programmes to the high standards set. - What will happen to rents?
Liverpool Mutual Homes will keep rents affordable.
Government policy uses a formula to work out a 'target rent' for homes and means that by March 2012, the rent charged for homes will meet the 'target rents'.
LMH will review rent levels in April each year, to comply with Government rent policy.
Entitlement to claim housing benefit is not affected by the transfer
- Are tenants' rights be protected?
Yes. Transferring tenants rights are protected or preserved in a new assured tenancy agreement.
If a tenant had the right to buy their home before transfer, they keep this right and entitlement to discount under the preserved right to buy scheme.
Tenants are able to pass on their home to qualifying successors.Tenants have the right to transfer home, to exchange home and the right to be consulted on changes to their housing service.
Introductory tenants will by given a full assured tenancy agreement containing these rights upon the successful completion of their 12-month introductory period.
