Government Equality and Diversity Strategy
The Government has published its first ever cross-Government Equalities Strategy.
The strategy explains the Government's new approach to tackling inequality and sets out how all Government departments plan to make society fairer for everyone. It focuses on making equality a key part of everyday business rather than a bureaucratic add-on. Power will be taken away from the centre, and instead Government will work with business, local communities and citizens to promote good practice, transparency and accountability.
