How to bid for a property

There are four easy steps to remember to bid for a property.

Step 1: Registration

Complete the housing application form. You only need to send an application to one of the participating landlords.

Step 2: Choosing

Properties are advertised each week on the website www.propertypool.org.uk. You can bid for up three properties each week either on-line; by calling into any of our local area housing offices; by calling into the offices of the other housing associations or by visiting any of the City Council One Stop Shops.

Step 3: Offer

All requests are listed in priority order and offers are made from the list after completing any tenancy checks or following receipt of appropriate references.

Step 4: Feedback

All properties are listed on the website as soon as they have been let (including any properties let outside propertypool). This feedback confirms how many people placed bids for each property, the band and date of application of the successful applicant.

This will help you to consider how popular properties are and how long you might expect to wait for a similar property.
