SmartWater security system installed in LMH homes

18 January 2010

To help combat burglaries in the Daneville area of the city, Liverpool Mutual Homes in partnership with Liverpool City Council have funded the installation of SmartWater to all homes on the Daneville Estate.

SmartWater is a colourless liquid solution that can be dabbed into the nooks and crannies of your personal possessions such as jewellery, ornaments and electrical items as well as your motor vehicles.  Each bottle of SmartWater carries a unique chemical code which is registered to your address.  It can not easily be seen by the naked eye.  The liquid glows under ultra violet light allowing the police to identify who the property belongs to and if it has been stolen.

SmartWater has a proven track record and by working directly with Police Forces across the UK to tackle crimes such as burglary, robbery, street crime and theft from Motor vehicles, SmartWater has achieved massive reductions in crime and has a 100% conviction rate.

Officers from Liverpool Mutual Homes and Merseyside Police will be visiting all properties on the Estate between 18th and 23rd January 2010 in order to show residents how to mark their belongings and complete the registration form.

If you would like to book an appointment for an officer to call please complete your contact details on the form provided Get in touch. Please state that it is for a SmartWater appointment.

Alternatively you can book an appointment by telephoning 0800 678 1892.
