Furniture charges
LMH furnished tenancies scheme provides affordable furniture packages to new tenants who are not in a position to provide essential furniture items. Anyone interested in receiving assistance with furnishing their new LMH tenancy should make the request when signing up for the property they have been offered.
The furniture packages provided include settees and armchairs, dining table with chairs, beds, wardrobes, chest of drawers, cookers and fridges. The level of furniture items provided is based on the number of people living within the property.
A weekly furniture charge is added to the rent account and is determined by the size of the furniture package provided. This charge may be paid by Housing Benefits depending on individual circumstances.
If items of furniture need replacing during a tenancy due to genuine wear or tear or becoming faulty through no responsibility of the tenant, LMH will provide new furniture items without increasing the weekly furniture charge. Contact us for further information.
