Your landlord has now changed to Torus

Following a consultation in 2018 with tenants, funders, regulators and key partners, we are delighted to confirm that as of 1st January 2019, Liverpool Mutual Homes (LMH) formally amalgamated with Torus (which includes Helena Partnerships in St Helens and Golden Gates Housing Trust in Warrington).

Your new landlord is Torus62 Limited, trading as Torus, of which will be used on any legal or formal documents you may receive as a customer.

Will services change?

Please note that there will be no changes to your existing tenancy conditions, rights and responsibilities.

Customers will continue to interact with LMH and use My Account to log repairs, pay rent and update contact details 24/7.

Our repairs team is now bigger than ever and will continue to be called HMS. As we’re bringing together teams from the other areas to work as part of HMS, customers may see uniforms, ID cards and vehicles with Torus, GGHT, Helena Homes or HMS branding. Going forward HMS branding will be introduced across the board but if you are in any doubt always ask for identification.

Rent and service charges

Please continue to pay your rent and service charges as usual. Your rent and services charges will be reviewed early in the New Year, as they are each year. Details of your annual rent and service charge will be sent to you once this yearly review has taken place.

Making a benefit claim

  • Making a new claim for Universal Credit (UC)

If you need to make an online claim for UC, when you enter your address, you will be asked if your landlord is Liverpool Mutual Homes – you need to answer yes to this question. This is until the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) updates their I.T. system to give the option for Torus62 Limited. Your claim will not be affected by doing this.

It is also important that when you attend the Job Centre, to bring along your tenancy agreement and explain to your Work Coach that you are a tenant of Torus 62 Limited.

  • Amending an existing UC Claim

If you have an existing UC claim and need to add housing costs to your claim or amend your housing costs, you will need to make a note on your UC claim Journal under the ‘payment tab’ that you are a tenant of Torus62 Limited.

  • Making/amending a claim for Housing Benefit (HB)

If you are completing any of the below, you need to advise as part of your claim that your landlord is Torus62 Limited.  You should record on the form Torus62 Limited / Liverpool Mutual Homes.

Your future with Torus

Later this year, Torus will start reviewing services to ensure that every tenant and leaseholder receives the same high-quality services across our heartland areas. As a Torus customer, you will have the opportunity to have your say about how your services are delivered in future. Look out for further communication in the coming months if you would like to be involved.
