Customers have started to move into our newly completed homes on Boaler Street, Kensington. The first 10 homes were handed over this morning and 25 more will be ready for tenants in the coming weeks.
Once a Liverpool City Council care hostel, the site now hosts 26 modern two and three-bedroom homes for affordable rent and nine bungalows, complete with high-quality wet rooms.
LMH’s focus at each new development is to deliver great new homes that meet local housing needs. At Boaler Street, the team chose to use an efficient timber frame panelling system, which produces high-quality results in a short build time.
Development Officer James Southern oversaw the build. He said, “The site has proven to be extremely popular and demand has been high. The quality of finish on the properties is excellent and initial feedback from the first residents who have recently moved in has been really positive.
“This is just one of several new-build projects for LMH, as we work to achieve our vision of completing 350 new homes for Liverpool every year,” he added.
Other projects include the landmark Ogden’s Place and Notre Dame developments, both in Everton, where over 200 new homes will be ready in 2017/18.
Many more homes are coming in March and April, both for affordable rent and shared ownership, which aims to help people get onto the property ladder.
